The PCS Instruments MTM-CC kit is an accessory for the MTM2 instrument that enables controlled environmental testing within the MTM’s test pot. It can be retrofitted to existing MTM instruments or supplied pre-installed with new MTM or MTM-EC units.

Key Features

The PCS Instruments MTM-CC kit is an accessory for the MTM2 instrument that enables controlled environmental testing within the MTM’s test pot. It can be retrofitted to existing MTM instruments or supplied pre-installed with new MTM or MTM-EC units.

The MTM-CC allows users to assess friction and wear performance under controlled atmospheric conditions.

The MTM-CC is offered in three kit configurations.

MTM-CC Kit - PCS-007934: Kit of all parts need for the normal MTM
MTM-CC Mapper Kit – PCS-007935: Kit of all parts needed for MTM SLIM
MTM-CC Bundle – PCS-007936: Kit of all parts needed for a normal MTM and SLIM

Additional Kit

MTM-CC Grease Scoop Kit – PCS-007962: Grease scoop, and fittings, plus modification of either the Mapper or normal MTM-CC lid

        Allows the ambient environment inside the test chamber to be controlled.      

        Supports friction and wear testing in alternative gas atmospheres at ambient pressure.      

        Inlet and outlet ports allow gas flow control through the MTM’s pot.      

        Uses high-performance Kalrez and fluorosilicone seals for maximum compatibility with various gases.      

        Highly flexible ball shaft seal ensures gas isolation without affecting traction measurements.      

        Enables realistic, application-specific testing without altering core MTM functionality.      

        Optional MTM-CC SLIM lid for studying boundary film formation under controlled atmospheric conditions when used in conjunction with MTM SLIM accessory.      

        Optional grease scoop kit allows consistent grease supply to the contact during grease tests.
