We recently used this in Pin on Disc configuration with different material pairs to produce wear coefficients. This gave us wear maps so a client was able to choose the best material pair for their application. We have also been using it for standard Stribeck curves and the effects of nano particles in the lubricants on these curves. A useful piece of equipment to compliment the other tribometers in the lab.
