STLE 2018: The count down begins

Less than eight weeks to go until the 73rd STLE annual conference, at PCS we are finalising travel plans, exhibition material and most importantly applying the finishing touches to the PCS-ETM, our new instrument, which we will be showcasing at the conference.

The ETM  has been designed following feedback from some of our most valued customers. It can apply loads of up to 1650N achieving contact pressures up to 3.2GPa with 52100 steel specimens. A wide range of rolling sliding conditions can be simulated in lubricated and unlubricated contacts, the traction coefficient and tribofilm are measured enabling researchers to further understand the lubricant behaviour and aid development of more optimised formulations.

To celebrate the launch we are hosting an event following the conference on Tuesday 22nd, we hope you will join us for some pre-dinner nibbles and lubrication of a different kind! Tickets are limited so make sure you request early, we look forward to seeing you all there.
